Description:
A cluster of large limestone stalactites in Carlsbad Caverns, seen from the side. One of the stalactites reaches all the way to the floor, forming a column, while the others are shorter, reaching only about half way to the floor. Some of the stalactites are brownish in appearance due to impurities in the limestone, and some of them are encrusted with the small bulbous formations called cave popcorn.
