Description:

A cluster of small grey limestone stalactites in Carlsbad Caverns. The stalactites are completely encrusted with bulbous protrusions known as cave popcorn, formed by the condensation and evaporation of water on the limestone surface. Between the wider stalactites hang thin formations known as soda straws, which are hollow precursors to stalactites.
