Description:
The top of a cluster of large white limestone stalactites in Carlsbad Caverns. The surface of the stalactites is smooth but mottled, looking very much like it is made of snow. Above the stalactites, the ceiling of the cave bristles with thin formations called soda straws, the hollow precursors to stalactites.
