A red rose in sunlight. The rose is partly open, some of the petals curving out from the middle, and still partly closed, with a core of curled petals wrapped around the bud. I've rarely seen such beautiful roses as these, which were growing in a garden in front of a house in Fort Bragg CA. This is one of the first photos I put on this site, and has always been by far the most popular.
