Description:
Similar to a yellow jacket, this insect has pale green stripes. Seen from above on a cluster of white flowers, in this picture the stripes are clearly visible. The wings are transparent, and the flowers can be seen through the wings. This insect is facing toward the right side of the photograph, and facing away from the camer, so that the bright green eyes are barely visible. The insect is in the lower right corner of the photo, and the cluster of flowers takes up the rest of the pic. Near Fort Bragg California.
