Description:
Similar to a yellow jacket, this insect has pale green stripes. Seen from the side on a cluster of white flowers against a dark background. Situated just to the right of the center of the photo, the insect faces away from the camera slightly, and its bright yellow legs are clearly visible. Unlike a bee, this insect does not collect pollen on its hind legs. The pattern of black stripes on the abdomen is clearly visible in this pic. Near Fort Bragg California.
