The photographs on this site are licensed under a Creative Commons License.

In a nutshell, this means that you are granted a non-exclusive license to use our digital photographs or derivative works thereof in any manner you see fit, with the following restrictions:

  • If you use our pictures or any derivative works thereof in a website, we require that you link to us. Links must be visible to the user and appear on the page where the photo from this site or derivative work thereof appears.
  • You cannot "hotlink" our images. That means that if you want to use our images in your website, you must download the image and then upload it to your server and host it from there. You also cannot link directly to the actual image file itself. Please link to the page containing the image, not to the image itself. All links to our images are redirected to this page, so if you thought you were following a link to an image on this site and you ended up here, that's why. You can use the search box at the top to find the image you want.
  • If you use these photos in any other medium, you must give credit to Free Nature Pictures in some manner appropriate to the medium.
  • If you create any modifications, derivative works, or redistribute the photos on this site in any way, they must be redistributed under the same license.
  • The photographers retain full copyright to all photos on this site.

Our pictures are distributed with our logo for advertising purposes. We do not distribute copies of our pictures without the logo. However, as the terms above state, you are welcome to remove the logo yourself or to make any modifications to the picture that you like, provided you follow the terms above.
