An unusual brown starfish with a checkered maroon pattern on its back, photographed at Underwater World in Mooloolaba, Queensland, Australia. This starfish has very short arms, giving it a pentagonal rather than star-like shape. Seen from above, it sits on a bed of shells at the bottom of an aquarium.
