Farm Animals
Pictures of animals generally classified as farm animals or domesticated livestock. The sheep are actually bighorn sheep in a zoo, not domesticated sheep, but sheep are normally classified as farm animals. The buffalo are actually domesticated.
Big Cats
Pictures of big cats: lions, leopards, cheetahs, tigers, and servals. Most of these magnificent cats are native to Africa, though of course Bengal Tigers are from southern Asia.
Birds
Pictures of birds, including peacocks, pelicans, seagulls, flamingos, owls, hawks, and various other birds.
African Animals
Pictures of animals (other than big cats) native to Africa, including elephants, giraffes, gorillas, hyenas, and zebras.
Australian Animals
Pictures of animals from Australia: kangaroos and koalas. These were taken mostly at the Australia Zoo, which was founded by the legendary Steve Irwin.
Forest Animals
Pictures of animals normally found in a forest environment, such as bears, foxes, rabbits, deer and so forth. Many of these animals are native to North America.

Pictures of insects including bees, beetles, and dragonflies.
Spiders
Pictures of arachnids, including trantulas and spiders. We have pictures of trantulas photographed at the Denver Butterfly Pavilion, spiders from australia, and common web-spinning spiders.
Marine Animals
Pictures of animals that live in the sea, including dolphins, whales, fish (even sharks), octopi, and even anemones, which are actually animals though they look somewhat plant-like.
Reptiles
Pictures of reptiles and amphibians such as crocodiles, frogs, snakes, lizards and turtles. Some of these are native to Australia, others to North America.

Free Nature Pictures is pleased to bring you this collection of animal photos. Most of our wildlife photos come from the wilderness of California. Our animal photo gallery includes pictures of lizards from Death Valley, pictures of frogs, deer photographs from the northern California forest, various pictures of birds, and a variety of insect pics, including a great collection of closeup bee pictures. And we've recently added animal images from New Mexico and Queensland, Australia, including pictures of koalas, kangaroos, tigers, and other exotic animals. We expect to be adding to this collection of wildlife photography extensively in the future, as there are lots of different kinds of animals we have yet to photograph.
